2025 Year in Review: "Pride and a great feeling"
2025 marked Europrofil's 43rd year as a company and specialist in steel. We will soon be turning the page and focusing all our attention on an exciting 2026, but first we asked Adam Almgren, Deputy CEO and Commercial Director at Europrofil, to answer a few questions to sum up the past year and tell us more about what lies ahead.
How would you sum up the past year for Europrofil?
When I reflect on 2025, it is with pride and a pleasant feeling that we have been decisive, driven, and curious despite a challenging market situation. We are closing the first year of our five-year plan, and I feel confident that we as a company have taken major steps forward and created excellent conditions for the next four years with a clear strategy characterized by growth.
If you had to pick one highlight from 2025, what would it be?
– There are many highlights, I would say, and although it is difficult to choose just one, the common denominator for all of them is that they are rooted in relationships with people, whether they are customers, suppliers, or employees. As a company, we have received several excellent reviews and confirmation of what we do during the year, which has created a great deal of motivation and pride within the company. In 2025, we also lowered our average age by welcoming new employees to our team. These are people who have settled in well and contributed both energy and drive to the company. At the same time, we have managed to continue strengthening our customer offering, streamlining our processes, and, not least, increasing our proximity to our customers.
Do you see any developments or events in the industry that have affected Europrofil or where the company has taken the lead?
– For me, it is clear that the environment and sustainability are and will continue to be a long-term development issue for the industry. Exciting progress is being made in this area all the time. We will continue to develop our environmental and sustainability work going forward, partly through our EVO steel, but also through partnerships and investments to ensure that we remain a supplier that leads the industry in our product areas.
What are you most looking forward to in 2026 – is there any news to look forward to?
– We will increase the priority on relationships, both internal and external, and meetings between people. We will also continue to invest in our digital journey, which includes the launch of a new website in early 2026. We have also carried out a number of AI projects in 2025 and will invest more in AI in 2026. We believe that the combination of strong human relationships and effective digital tools is important for us going forward. I think a lot will happen in 2026, and I am really looking forward to it!

“When I reflect on 2025, it is with pride and a wonderful feeling that we have been decisive, driven, and curious.”
